The VESX45 is Newson Gale’s standard sized heavy duty grounding clamp. It is specified for grounding objects ranging from small buckets to 55 gallon drums. The corrosion resistant stainless steel construction combined with a superior mechanical design, validated by Factory Mutual, ensures the X45 can stand up to the day-to-day demands of the industrial workplace.

The diagram to the right describes two basic scenarios where bonding or grounding can be achieved with a variety of clamp and cable assemblies. To ground objects like barrels, you will require a single clamp and cable assembly with a ring terminal on the opposite end which is terminated to a verified True Earth grounding point.

To bond objects you will require a “double clamp assembly” with cable joining both clamps together. It is important to remember that bonding objects does not ensure electrostatic charge is removed from the process completely. Complete elimination of static can only be achieved if the entire application is grounded.

In addition to grounding and bonding equipment, the VESX45 can be used to ground workers operating in Hazardous Locations.
